Boomer

 

Boomer is a 1 yr old, classic tri colored male that is currently going through heartworm treatment, so he will be ready around mid April. He is very sweet and loving and not a big talker but friendly to everyone and everything.

 

Foster Parent Notes:

 

Boomer is a very sweet, docile boy, even a little bit timid.  He wants very much to be loved and petted, and would like nothing better than to be a lap dog.  Because of his small size, he would make a perfect companion for cuddling with you while watching TV.  He has done very well with the doggy door, now that he has learned what it is for.  He has only had a couple of accidents and they have been mainly on the tile, so it seems that he was at least partly housetrained prior to coming into the rescue.  He is very quiet, only “talking” when he’s being rubbed/ scratched/petted or when he sees a cat.  He hasn’t been very active so far but that is partly because of the heartworm treatment, and partly because he is in a strange new environment.  The only behavior he has exhibited that needs to be corrected is chewing.  He is still quite young and this is typical puppy behavior.  If he’s given appropriate training and toys to chew on, I’m sure he will outgrow this.  He is a beautiful boy, whose tail is always wagging.
